Many questioned why danger suddenly arose once the legendary creatures went away. It was a mystery. Some say that the Haetae's and Xiezhi's are just in hiding. But what could they possibly be hiding from? Please, whoever knows this mythology or is a part of the culture, please don't kill me! And I understand that Xiezhi and Haetae are the same thing IRL (from what I researched, I think) for the sake of this story. They are two separate things. Anyway, enjoy the book ^^
