The epic tale of the company of Thorin Oakenshield has been recounted time and time again, an adventure unlike any other Middle-earth has seen. The story of how thirteen dwarves and a hobbit reclaimed the great kingdom of Erebor is not easily forgotten. The telling you may have heard, however, left some things out, maybe even someone. It would seem that through the many retellings, an elf was deprived of her deserved glory within this tale. This is the story of Laerornien, the daughter of Thranduil, the sister of Legolas, and the forgotten fifteenth member of the company of Thorin Oakenshield. In an attempt to save her people from the wrath of Thrór's dragon sickness, the elven princess sacrificed the heirlooms of her kin, the White Gems of Lasgalen. The consequence was banishment from her own kingdom. Sixty years later, she left her lonely sanctuary in Rivendell as a member of the company with her trust put in their leader, who had promised the return of the gems. The dwarves travelled with a common need to reclaim their home, and those gems would ensure the return of her own. Those who know the story know the grim end, but Laerornien's place in it deserves to be told. Her sacrifice did not end with her surrender of the gems, but with something much greater, and it saved the kingdom of Erebor when the final battle seemed lost. This is not the story you were told, but it may just be the story you were meant to hear.

Absolutely beautiful cover made by @paradoxe

All the characters and storyline of the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings belong to J.R.R. Tolkien. My interpretation and character, Laerornien, belongs to me.

The Darkling(Legolas/The Hobbit) Book 1 ✔️ by ThaleCarter

"You talk too much elf-boy," Arya muttered, her voice hoarse from all the screaming she had done due to the pain of her injuries. Legolas scrunched up his nose in disdain of the nickname, but a smile soon found his way onto his face. "I am not a boy." Her eyes opened then, and her familiar hazel eyes met his striking blue ones. A small smile made itself present on her face as she looked at him, a twinkle of mischief evident in her eyes. "No. You are not." ¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨ Arya woke up some years ago with a grey-haired wizard leaning over her. She had no memories, no indications that told her who or what she was. With the outer appearances of an elf, but eyes that flash orange and strange symbols that appear on her skin - no one seems able to tell her anything about her past. She joined the quest of Thorin's dwarven company to have something to do, and she quickly became a part of their group. Ravonna The White by RavonnasRebellion
42 parts Complete Mature
The time has come. Erebor still lies within the Lonely Mountain, and Smaug has not been sighted for years. The regal line of Durin must reclaim their homeland once more. But, when Gandalf the Grey tasks Ravonna the White, the greatest sorceress of Middle Earth, to join the Company, she faces many great obstacles that she never wished to encounter again. Finding love with Thorin Oakenshield was never her plan, but that was not the only surprise her fate had in store. Darkness had once again found a way to creep into and to corrupt her heart, but will Ravonna be able to banish it? Will she be successful in saving the line of Durin- or will she fail? This is a Fanfiction following the adventures of Thorin Oakenshield in J.R.R. Tolkien's novel, the Hobbit. DISCLAIMERS: 1. I do not own any of the characters besides from Ravonna. Aside from the main storyline, any other scenes or events are my own. All other rights go to J. R. R. Tolkien and Peter Jackson for the original works, the movies and novel of the Hobbit. I also do not own this image, credits go to it's rightful owner. 2. There are TONS of mistakes and plot errors in this book. PLEASE keep in mind that I started and finished this when I was only ELEVEN YEARS OLD. Because this was the first thing I ever wrote, know that this is not a representation of my best work (if you do want to another Thorin fanfic from me, check out Rue, now online). I don't mind criticism, but please be patient and enjoy the story for the substance, not necessarily the accuracy :) Sending much love to all of my fellow Tolkienites and thank you for all of your support so far! I hope you enjoy this story!
Endotherm {Thorin/Hobbit} by Patagonian

"The world was young, the mountains green, No stain yet on the Moon was seen, No words were laid on stream or stone When Durin woke and walked alone. He named the nameless hills and dells; He drank from yet untasted wells; He stooped and looked in Mirrormere, And saw a crown of stars appear." You could say Endor Baggins's life was the complete opposite of her uncle Bilbo's. Having grown up as the proper hobbit, with no "trouble in an adventurous spirit," she was highly praised by strangers and hobbits alike. That is, until her father and mother died in a tragic incident. The Shirefolk would forever blame shock for Endor's dramatic change, although she remembers the shift as the revelation of her true character. Indeed, whereas Bilbo transformed from adventurous to reserved, Endor moved from conservative to travel-frenzied. And her little brother of three years, Frodo, had no tether on her actions. After all, Bilbo was there to look after her sibling as she travelled the West for months at a time. With this change in spirit, it came as no surprise when she demanded to accompany her uncle in his visit to Erebor, thirty-three years after his departure from the Company. After all, it had been Bilbo whom she idolized: her courageous uncle who reclaimed a mountain from a dragon with a rogue band of dwarves. This was a simple visit to a distant land, yet the journey made a second hobbit into legend. And thus, her story begins when she took her first true step, from the Shire to the Lonely Mountain, hobbits to dwarves, past to future, and loneliness to love. DISCLAIMER: I don't own any of the characters in this story other than Endor Baggins, nor do I own the settings. These rights are reserved to J.R.R. Tolkien and Peter Jackson. I don't own the media I post, as they belong to their respective owners. I do not own the cover picture; it belongs to its respective owner(s). I don't own the "Song of Durin" lyrics above; they belong to Tolkien.

A Ruby's Shine (Thorin Oakenshield X OC)

140 parts Complete Mature

I do not own The Hobbit or LOTR. The Hobbit is what I based this story off of. A Thorin Oakenshield x OC you might really enjoy like I do, and I wrote the story! I decided this description needed a rewrite: Fiery, stubborn, prideful, daring. I am all of those names, always have been. I never back down from a challenge, never turn away from my choice. I am determined to find my home. And, one day, I know I will. I just never thought a handsome, stubborn, irritating, stoic, and annoying dwarf king would step in my way and tip me off that path I was determined to stay on. I never thought he would take my hand, and guide me down a much better path than I ever imagined. Check out the Sequel on my page, A Ruby's Glow.
