WHEN...12 year old Syria Dulane's mother marries the world's worst step father, she is getting herself into some serious trouble. He is strange, and only eats at night. While her mother struggles to keep their house, and enough money, for the family of five, Syria often finds herself alone. But it all changes when she steps into her step father's attic. She is transported to a whole new world with her best friend, Andrew. Together, they have to destroy her father and his plans before it is too late. As they face many obstacles along the way, Syria struggles with the biggest one: Is it never too late to go back?But before she can answer that question alone, their only key to get back home is destroyed.
