"I would do anything to go back and change the way I left things," Severus uttered. Hermione turned towards him, her lips parted slightly as she listened intently. "I regret my actions with every passing moment."
"We can't change the past, Severus. But if you truly wish to make things right..." She moved towards him, her eyes wide and warm as she looked to him.
"Anything." He stated, his palm cupping her warm cheek.
"Help me... Help me, Severus, please, " She begged.
Hermione and Severus have a tumultuous past. When a Marriage Law is announced, they go their separate ways: Hermione to marry Lucius Malfoy, and Severus on official Ministry business. But, when Lucius writes to Severus in need of his potion-making services, the black-clad wizard hesitates. Harry Potter finally understands why his potions professor, Severus Snape, seems to pretty much hate the ground he walks on, after Harry inadvertently gets into his Pensieve during an Occlumency lesson. Despite his attempts at apologizing, the older man doesn't seem to want to hear it. As time goes by, however, and their lessons are forced to resume again, Harry comes to terms with his attraction towards the older man, and Severus, although reluctant to do so, gives in to kissing the young man, and a relationship blooms between them. When times are shaken up because of various Death Eaters threatening to destroy life as they know it, both men are thrust into the center of it all, especially when Sirius Black, now Harry's guardian, catches wind of the relationship and puts an end to it by force. Will their love be strong enough to handle the war, their separation, and will it prove to be the power the Dark Lord knows not?
