From the Heart of The Knight

Mira Roy, a crime reporter, and an investigative journalist had been invited to join a Special task force in the Big Apple. But then, not everyone was delighted with her presence in their life. The second in command of the Task Force is Adrian Alexander Knight, being one of those people who doesn't like to work with someone he hasn't personally selected or recommended for the team.
But the two attacks on her changed his perspective, he even agreed to live together for her protection, unknown to her that he had a hidden agenda in being in the task force. Something only he and the chief knows about. But for some reason, he feels protective about her.
Adrian isn't the only one with hidden motives. And some of hers are as deadly as they can get. Some secrets are not for the light of the day. Hers is something that can never come out in the dark of the night.
Getting them out would be deadly on her account and not only for her but him as well. When their paths collide for dangerous and yet deadly secrets come past. Can they be enough to battle the demons of their past and discover the truth lying in front of them. Could they survive the assault when it comes from a very personal place?
