In my world, instead of just having a soulmate, we have a soulPLACE. That one place you've been drawn to your whole life. the place you know you're meant to be in. and 2 perfect souls are destined to that same place, and thats where you find them. You're Soulmate.
in addition to all that crazy stuff, you feel their pain, you feel their emotions, you feel their pleasure, and you get whatever marks on your skin that they have.
if you ever found them in my universe, then it should have been obvious as hell, but honestly when it comes down to it, your soulmate could have been your best friend and you would have never known until you stepped into your place together.
