What would have happened if after the end of Transformers Cybertron that the remaining decepticons find themselves with a new threat in the form of doppelgängers with much more sinister intentions. And what does this have to do with the Autobots finding an artifact that has disabled the warp gates on both sides and has brought about a sick, twisted sense of irony.
Aka what would happen if bad guys meet even badder guys.
