xie lian had always thought that he was a bit crazy when he was a child. he had constantly heard a lot of gurgles, whispers, wails, and screams of empty air. it wasn't until he was at 18 that he could clearly hear them all yet he could never see them. all he knows is that they were all dead, they were ghosts. xie lian was an unlucky person to have such a gift. he wanted it gone, so he consulted a shaman to get rid of it, yet he encountered an individual like him.

hua cheng, at first, when he was a kid he could clearly see that things were not as it look. he's see floating people, people covered in blood, people with deformed bodies. he grew up with a tough history of being able to see ghosts yet everytime they come close to him he could never understand them. one day a kind ghost urged him to go to a trusted shaman to help him, yet he never knew he wasn't the only one with such problem.

both of them wanted to have their gifts gone, yet unexpectedly the shaman could only say that it was something they could not touch, as it was a gift bestowed by the heavens for them to use and repel the evil of the world. soon, their words came true when one incident after another always followed hua cheng and xie lian which resulted to both of them teaming up to see and hear wherever they are hiding and to repel them away.
