Adlyn, Axel and Briar all live different lives each having their own hardships, their one escape being the newly released virtual reality game, where almost anything is possible. The game allows them to explore a vast world in which monsters and magic run rampant. The three of them embark on countless quests in game, overcoming every challenge thrown at them.
Until their complicated lives interfere with their one escape.
Each chapter consists of three different perspectives: Briar, Adlyn, and Axel.
