To say Lily was exhausted was an understatement. 

    A more accurate phrasing would be that the fifteen year old felt like she had been hit by a plane falling from upper orbit. Every part of her body was bruised and bloody. She wobbled on her legs like a newborn fawn. She was barely dragging herself through some remote part of Montana, aiming for the little town of one and two story buildings that was just on the horizon by following the only road she could find.

 

When two traumatized teenagers bully each other, and then end up having to live together for two weeks. You can't expect shit not to hit the fan. 

Did I mention that neither of them are human?
