Jayne's life has never been normal. But does normal even exists? At the age of five, her twin sister was kidnapped by 'the men in black' as she calls them. Search parties and even private investigations were held, but there was never any clue to who took her or where she went. Jayne spent a year being bedridden because of an incident where she had a bad injury and was out in the snow for hours before anyone found her. So she has lived most of her life in America since her Mother didn't want to live in Australia any more.
Jayne has been kept inside, kept away from children her age and home schooled by her mother. She has one friend, Ruby-May, who comes to visit occasionally but other than that, she is alone.
Sleeping is her worst nightmare, nightmares are like a door to the outside world, and also her sister; Maria. Her dreams seem so real that she never wants to sleep, because when something bad happens in them, she knows that it has happened in real life.
Everything is about to change, she is being sent back to Australia, to a small public school. She will meet new people, discover new things, and she will have to fend for herself in the real world outside of her beloved home in America.
Audrey Mitchell is half werewolf half human. She has been moving town to town with her father for the past eight years, ever since she was ten.
When she moved from the small little town outside Dallas Texas, to the town of Palatka Florida, she didn't think anything would change. She and her father would go to a new pack, he would train the upcoming alphas, and check to see if everything was going well. Meaning take notes and help better the pack.
Then they would leave after a year or so to the next pack. Simple right?
Well maybe not. Audrey has had nightmares since she was nine. I don't mean nightmares like some big bad monster is chasing her. Even though that can be the case at times. I mean someone (a man) the same man, tries (and succeeds) to kill her almost every night.
What's different when she moves this time doesn't have anything to do with her nightmares, none whatsoever. No, the change in this move comes in the form of a different guy. But wait! It gets better! He turns out to be next in line alpha. And better yet! He's also her mate.
This sarcastic eighteen year old spits fire (in the form of words) and doesn't put up with anything. But underneath that hard exterior is a girl who's afraid of her own dreams and the threat they cause her.
One Human.

One King.
Three men in her life that all want something from her. She just has to figure out what that is.
Love and heartbreak are inevitable.
Betrayal and Trust will be revealed.
What could go wrong?
