Twelve-year-old Talula Titania DeWolf is a monster makeup artist extraordinaire. 

At least that's what she tells herself. But with her once-creepy hometown of Indigo dying and its Halloween traditions dying with it, it looks like she'll have no chance to show off her cosmetic skills in the now dead-on-arrival parades and festivities. With October fast approaching, Talula decides to invite Zelda Z to town. As the director and producer of the internet hit show "Positively Monstrous", Zelda is known for filming her monster series in small towns - thus reviving them - and featuring talented local kids in every episode. But while Talula thinks it will be easy to convince the glamorously gothic director to let her do the makeup for each villain and ghoul, she's totally unprepared for the way that Zelda actually 'makes' her monsters...by draining the talent out of every child who auditions for the film.
