Davon O'Grady never believed in ghost.
Not until she came face to face with one.

Needing a summer job to save up for her school trip aboard, sixteen year old Davon O'Grady applies for a job as a dinner maid in Saint Johns nursing home. Not knowing the history of the building she's lived so closely to her whole life, everything changes when she comes across the Woman By The River.

Everybody in Ireland knows the dark history of 'Black 47'. In the small town of Tullallan, down south, is a nursing home that was once believed to be a soup kitchen during the dark years of the 1840's famine.

One million people died in Ireland during the famine. Now, the ghost of a lost woman begs Devon to help her find the husband and child she lost before her untimely death.

On a mission to help the ghost that terrorises her, Davon soon begins to question her sanity, as does everybody else.
