Who knew stealing a valuable object from an insane tweaking drug dealer would rekindle an old relationship?
Certainly not Sage Matthews, that’s who. She had a normal life with the best job as a veterinarian in the local animal sanctuary and a decent apartment her parents hardly visited. So what happens when a familiar face from her past arrives at her doorstep with an antique-looking elephant in her possession? Nothing but reopening scars and arguments beginning to arise of course until an overbearing drug dealer burst through the front door threatening Sage at gun point and demanding her of the location of ‘Molly’. All Sage could imagine at that moment was a frightened little girl in the hands of a creep but only to be mistaken for an elephant that Flor Aisling carries at all times.
Secrets are laid out on the table as Flor begins to invade Sage’s once peaceful life. With the drug dealer chasing after Flor, Sage must come to a decision whether to help her old flame or let her run around until she falls into the crazed man who demands for ‘Molly‘. Can Sage forget the past and help Flor in taking the antique elephant to a man who’s offering $150,000 dollars for it or would she close the door on Flor and let the past be the past? All Sage knows by heart is that Flor is a persistent woman and would do anything to get what she wants. And what Flor wants, Flor gets.
And what Flor wants is Sage and her forgiveness for leaving her but can Sage ever forgive the woman who left her at the alter or would she close the door to her past and move on?
