Shaun, Brigham, Chrysanthemum, Anka and Kiara are all kids put into a horrible situation, known as unwinding. This allows parents to sign away their children to have their organs taken away. And they can only do this to 13 to 18 year olds.

Maybe they can survive the other a bit of cooperation, luck, and skills. Maybe they'll all be okay. Or maybe... they won't make it out at all.

After the second civil war, unwinding becomes legal. Unwinding allows parents to sign a document to let go of their child and have their organs harvested, as long as they're from the age of 13 to 18. Unwinds are these unfortunate kids. Irene, Wendy, Kingsley and Milo are some of these unlucky victims, who have to run away from the unwinding process... but that's easier said then done. But, maybe with just a shred of luck, they'll manage to make it to the age of 18. (This is an Unwind fanfic!
