After Estrella's parents passed away, she moved to Encanto to live with her aunt and uncle.
She's getting through it with her glass-half-full attitude, but even the perkiest people can be brought down with sorrow. When all the emotions she's been suppressing start to surface and begin to drag her to the ground, Ella finds that a certain auburn haired boy already has a hand held out for her to help her up.
But this new friend also might need help as well, for just like herself, he has the tendency to hide his feelings behind a mask as well...

This takes place around 6 months after the movie: Encanto. So, Camilo, Mirabel, and Estrella are 16.
