Hinata Hajime was part of a family that tried hard to be in the upper middle class but failed horribly. They had fairly stable jobs- Hinata's mom worked as an Art Therapist, and his father worked in a large company- the Komaeda Company (Sometimes spelled as Komaeda Kompany as a joke), which was run by Komaeda Itachi and his wife, Komaeda Mika, which was ironic since Hajime had a lot of classes (And weird feelings towards) Komaeda Nagito, their son.

Of course, his parents having good jobs didn't guarantee a lot of money, and when Hinata was the least favorite child, that led to conflict, until it was decided that he and his brother, Kamukura Izuru, would have to- get jobs and pay off going to a good school- if one of them failed, it was their fault. Fair, right? Of course not. Kamukura was talented- he was guaranteed a spot with father on the Board of Directors, while Hinata...Well, he fell a little short of that. Could he, average Hinata Hajime, pay off the debt he owed to go to Hope's Peak? Could he even survive it? And could he catch the attention of the boy that had been haunting his fantasies for years...?
