A long time ago there was once was a beautiful kingdom called Atlantica. The people of earth referred to it as Atlantis. Atlantis was a magical place, unlike any other place on the planet. The humans were in awe of Atlantis and it's people. The royal family possessed great magic and held the secrets to Atlantis's power. Then one day the city disappeared, never to be seen again. The story of Atlantis was passed from generation to generation. Many explorers sot to discover the "Lost City" but all failed. The story soon turned into legends and myths until finally Atlantis and it's people were forgotten...
Kalila 'Lila' Winters has become dissatisfied with her life and is questioning her choices and the direction her life is going as she graduates from University. I wake up with a pounding headache. Now I know why my mother tells me not to drink. I open my eyes and close them right after. I pull my covers off of me and stretch for a minute. I walk to the bathroom with my eyes still closed. Now that takes skill. I open my eyes when I get in there. I look around for a second and scream. I run to the bed I was in and see its not mine. I scream again. I go to the door and its locked. No,no,no this can't be happening... moments later the door opens and I almost punch the person opening it, he grabbed my hand and then put it down. Young Anthony finds out that it is up to him and Emma to save this new world with great powers that he had no idea he had, and make it home before anybody suspects a thing. Told from a first-person point-of-view, it goes into detail about the thought processes of a young man who has everything to lose. The protagonist deals with real life struggles every day, including the death of his friend, his dad who left him at an early age, and the pain of seeing his little sister being hurt by her boyfriend. He also has to take charge and become a hero for those who can't against an unwavering bully in a far-away world. My book blends fiction with reality, as the reader follows along in the life of a shy high school student who gets thrown into many situations he must overcome as he finds out who he truly is and why it is him who needs to save the world, while keeping the reader guessing every step of the way.Complete
