Once upon a time, The Great Asher Shiva Eris Archion was only a frail mortal. He was just like any other normal human being, hanging out with friends, attending school, failing a few of his classes, becoming depressed as a result, and, of course, being chastised by his parents. 

One day, he couldn't take all the negative emotions inside him any longer. And that is where everything will change; whether it was for better or worse, no one can tell except him. An omnipotent being offered him immortality, but nothing in life is free! Will he accept the offer and cultivate under the tutelage of the almighty being, or will he remain under the shelter of his overwhelming parents?

Except the auras are actually cursed, which messes with the human's powers, and now auras have become synonymous with curses and aura-having humans face heavy persecution. Skye Everson, the afformented chosen one protagonist, is one of these aura-havers, and she has ice powers. For a long time, she had idolized mages and wanted to hone her skills so she could become a mage herself. The problem? Aura magic is no longer legal. Fortunately for Skye, she gets kidnapped by a secret society that trains mages illegally, and may now have a chance to live out her dreams as an ice mage.
