Eliza Grayson Hayes, a name that hasn't been uttered in years is suddenly thrust back into her old life with the addition of new and old faces both having good and bad intentions. She's forced to face her past and find common ground with an old love and hopefully make space for a new one. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Did you mean to kiss me and leave me there?" her breathing came out as soft heavy pants, her eyes glistening with something the other couldn't quite place. "I kissed you but I never meant to leave, you're the one who left I just didn't chase after you" her tone held finality while she bit her tongue effectively stopping her from saying everything else she wanted to. Hanging onto every word the girl let out a sigh of frustration. "Why are you so confusing? I know I shouldn't do this but I can't stop myself." Her voice grew soft- "What are you doing to me?" She placed a soft warm hand on her cheek. "I'm not doing anything maybe you just don't want to stop" ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Come on big boy, show me what you've got" her breathing was ragged and her chest was close to collapse. She wanted nothing more than to finally rest but she refused to let him win. He let out a humorless laugh "You're gonna lose sweetheart I'm the best there is " he inched closer, gauging her reactions and biding his time knowing every word he said made her blood boil hotter and hotter. In an attempt to calm her nerves she drew a slow shaky breath. If she was gonna beat him she needed to be calm and focused. That smile was getting wiped off his face one way or another but she would prefer it be her wiping it off with the floor mats. "We'll see about that" - her tone clipped and unwavering despite her body going rigid from exhaustion "sweetheart"

"Do you know how hard it is for me knowing that you're with someone else?" Tyler asked, staring at me intensely. "You think this is easy for me?" I asked, trying to hold back my tears. "I didn't say it was -" he began, but I cut him off. "It's not. I have to go around hating myself. Hating myself for thinking about you. Hating myself for wanting you. I just want to stop feeling this way." I stepped closer to him as my voice shook with every word. "I want to forget about you, but I just--." The rest of my sentence was cut short as Tyler took the final step, closing the gap between us and brought his lips to mine. ~~~~~~~~ Tyler is back from college to find out that the girl who once held his heart has a new boyfriend.
