The Scars I Carry
A collection I've put together of a few original poems I've written over the years. These poems are relating to personal experiences and emotions, and I debated publishing them for a very long time. I've finally decided to publish some of my work in hopes that they can help some people through difficulties, as writing them helped me. I will be adding more as I write them of course. There are various forms and styles so each piece is different from the others, although this collection follows similar themes. I will be putting trigger warnings for each and every poem that requires them, as well as which triggers are contained in which poems that way you have the best idea of what you will find. If at any point you feel triggered by my writing or by something else, please don't be afraid to reach out for help, you are never alone, I promise you. The themes/possible triggers contained within this collection are the following; self-harm, suicide attempts and general talk of suicide, emotional and psychological abuse, childhood trauma, mental health and mental illness (anxiety, depression, ptsd, anorexia- etc), death and dying-and others. Her Hidden Self | ✓
Some people merely adopt darkness, but she was born into it. Hiding every gloomy secret, covering all the lies, she walks through the life devoid of all emotions. They all labeled her, those silly people, if only they had stop for a moment and observed. Looked into her eyes and see the wreckage behind them, see the hurt and the pain behind that anger. Nobody noticed, nobody tried to care... until that someone. • • • They loath each other and there's nothing anyone could do. Winter and Ethan are like fire and ice, like darkness and light, like hurricane and tornado they don't mix at all. But, fate, my friend is one hell of a player. So, what will happen when Fate works it's magic and the two arch enemies are thrown together? COMPLETED, next poetry collection coming soon This is a poetry collection that is both ever updating and ever changing. This collection of poetry isn't exactly traditional or ever a solid complete piece of prose, I am ever adding and changing and morphing them into something I feel is better or is more to what I feel suits the character or the emotion I wrote the poem to embody. That being said, this collection has some works alike the past one that I made a few years back that doesn't quite hold up to standard today. I have poems that I have remade and moved into this collection, so If you have come from the previous collection know that if you recognise the theme it's because of that. I created this intended as both a challenge to write some feelings into something productive as-well as to write some inspired works made for a character I made as I wrote the poem or for a event or piece of media I enjoyed. Nothing is ever solid or at least their perspective will change as I write the poem or rewrite it. "I'm desperately trying to heal myself." •. •. •. •. •. I strongly believe art isn't supposed to be pretty, or liked and understood by the masses. Art is supposed to make you uncomfortable, it's supposed to boggle your mind and touch your heart. And this is what I've done. Most of my words aren't pretty. They are the real ugly truths about the things and people around me. The factors that make me who I am.
