Diary of a Downer Mom

This is the diary of a depressed housewife type variety. I was hoping someone would stumble upon my diary, read my words and save me. That dress on the cover of this story? I actually wore that. You see, as a mom of a young baby, I have literally no time to myself. I am also a mother living with heart failure. And I actually wore that frump-story of a dress to one of my doctor's appointments because I have very little time to even shower and with one my one free-hand I slipped on the first thing I could find. An elastic floral 80s dress. Vintage used. I paired that dress with the first sweater I could find, made of ragged shag. And headed out to my doctor's appointments, to get an echocardiogram.

Well, I was stopped by the security guard at the hospital... It may not have helped that new COVID mask policies had gone into place that day... Or maybe I just looked a little odd in my worn house dress, black knee socks that ended well below my hem and brown ballet flats. And a hairy sweater. For some reason the guy asked what I was doing in the hospital.... And asked about my medical mask. But maybe I just seemed... Out of place... You see... I am just getting by.
