"Ah Ying! Ah Ying!! Lan Wangji sounded panicked. He said again, "Ah Ying!" and Wei Wuxian opened his eyes. "Stay with me okay?"

Wei Wuxian smirked lazily up at Lan Wangji saying, "w-where would I go witho-without you?" He winced.

Lan Wangji frowned. Why was he frowning? Wei Wuxian lifted his clumsy hand and patted on Lan Wangji's soft white cheek making it crimson, "Ah Zhan..." his voice was weak, "wh-whay are you frowning? You sh-should never frown."

"Okay", the other vigorously nodded his head towards the man on his lap. "If you stay awake, I will only smile."

"Promise?" Wei Wuxian said even as the world blurred around him.

"I promise." Lan Wangji said. But he looked closer to tears.

"G-good." Wei Wuxian said right before his eyes closed.
