Prophecies were such fickle things. That is why the gods shouldn't mess with the prophecies. They made a pact to never interfere with them. Though that wasn't true for all of them.
Lord Chaos was not going to let some power hungry mortal take over Hecate's pet world. They merges the two world's together, making sure that no one will notice the change. It was all part of the plan to save the two world's from a devastating demise.
