Life is going along just fine until a pandemic courses through the United States. Nobody knows what it is, nor where it came from. There is no name for it and there is no cure. That's why Brynne Anderson thinks it's strange that only a week into National lockdown that a vaccine seems to come out of nowhere. Everybody jumps at it, immediately wanting to be inoculated against the virus taking the lives of everyone they love. Only then, do matters get worse. A strange symbol of twists and lines appear on the wrists of those who are vaccinated and that is their identification. If you bare the symbol, you are branded for ruin.
In this novel, we travel with Brynne Anderson, as she tries to figure out what is wrong with everybody once they get the vaccine and why nothing has happened to her. She is already racked with guilt over the death of her father years before, but now that her mother and brother are gone as well the grief is overwhelming. She must figure out how to get rid of the vaccine and stop the government from using it. Along the way, she faces trials, forges friendships, and stumbles upon love along the way as well. She must endure and be brave to save the lives of the ones she loves.
