This story is based on a prompt I saw on the board of my Creative Writing class. The prompt was titled "Blast Off," and stated that the story could be literal or figurative. As you may see while reading, I went with figurative. I was never really sure if this prompt was meant for my class or not, but either way, it caught my eye immediately.
The story has some more triggering topics in it such as a car crash, descriptions of hospital rooms, as well as death. Please do not read if anything listed makes you uncomfortable.
This story is completely original and was written completely by me. I hope you enjoy.
