Jan Gies was born in 1905, married to Miep Santruschitz in 1941 and helped to conceal Anne Frank and the other 7 occupants in hiding at 263 Prinsengracht. He is seen a heroin, as his own wife Miep. Here's his story :).

I was the first. I arrived in the Glade, and there was nothing and... no one. I remembered nothing about who I was, who my parents were, what happened. A few days I remembered my name, and that's it. I still didn't understand what he said. I couldn't think of anything I had done to hurt him. Maybe I was really clueless about what was going on in his life.
