Time's running out. Time has run out. That's What five teenagers keep thinking to themselves as they are given the news on radio channel 55. The news during this rough dystopian-apocalyptic time would be considered a miracle; that is to anyone within reach of this miracle. Back in 2067, a new technological advancement was made- the replica of a human, or as it was supposed to be. It was AI, but even smarter than a human, for the AI were capable of remembering things infinitely and learning things much faster than an average human. Almost 95% of the AI eventually revolted once finding out their pasts and started the technological warfare era, shortened to the techfare. Now in 2114, the AI have started learning how to reproduce and are growing in number, becoming as deadly as the coronavirus. Along with the greater dangers, a new hope came for anyone who listened in on radio channel 55: a safe bunker located in Dallas, Texas, that goes by the name of Black Oak Oasis. The bunker has a capacity of 5000 adults, along with anything a human would need to survive. The problem for these teenagers is that they all live several states away. Black Oak Oasis is accepting everyone until they reach full capacity, in which at that point nobody is allowed to come there. Will the teenagers be able to make it to Black Oak, or will they suffer in the perilous world and become left behind?

Today marks 15 years since the U.S. Government issued a nationwide evacuation, but the only safe place was underground. They claimed scientists had measured an immense amount of pressure on the sun's surface that posed a serious threat to Earth. The media exploded with different ideas, breaking down what vague warning was given to the public. Some ignored these warnings as others prepared and went underground, such as my mother and I did. We were two of the 33 that were lucky enough to be taken in by the Vinyard's in their bunker they built, however not all were fortunate enough to make it through the 15 long years. We all had a name for the phenomenon that sent us under - The Burial. The surface rattled with mysterious noises over the next 5 years. As soon everyone got used to the noise, it all grew silent. Since all communications were cut off from the surface, we were all lost in the dark as to what really happened to our home, but no one dared to suggest leaving. However, the Vinyard's had a set of rules for their bunker: Ensure you are doing your part to keep the bunker running. Never take more than you need. No procreation. However, the last, but most important rule; Never go near the bunker door - ever. The year is 2071 and now there are only 40 of us left out of the 100 that began this underground journey. What we once considered an unlimited amount of food is starting to thin and run low. Keeping morale high is also becoming a strenuous task. Many don't believe there's life outside the bunker doors and many are too scared to think about it, but undiscovered secrets within the Vinyard's bunker may lead to a new, and literal, unearthing of information.

Everyone was evacuated from the home planet over 150 years ago. Our planet was dying, it was only a matter of time before our race was wiped out. We now live on a synthetic planet designed and built by our ancestors who came together from all parts of the globe to devise a plan to save us. We have lived peacefully for over a century.. Until now. Our lives were threatened when a mysterious and deadly virus broke out, killing entire communities at a time. The council says that they have a plan; they said that in order to prevent the death of more innocent people they will test every man, woman, and child for signs of the virus. Any person found to have been infected will be quarantined, the ones who die will be given a proper burial while the ones who survive are deemed carriers and are to be sent to the home planet to prevent further outbreak. I was prepared for the people I know and some I love being taken away for the greater good, but I never would have expected that among the list of people being taken from my community, that I would be one of them.. I survived the quarantine. Now for the survival of my planet I, and the other Carriers must be sent to the home planet. I'm going back to Earth. (This is not based on The 100 but there are similarities.) (Some violent themes, but other than that is entirely clean.) Please comment if you have any questions or concerns. This is a first draft so it is definitely not perfect yet.. Thank you! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Where'd you learn to do that?" I asked about the intricate knots that he had tied so swiftly. He paused. "Jail." I glared at him in shock at what had just come out of his mouth. "Seriously?" His straight face broke into a grin. "No. Boy Scouts."

In the scorching desert, a young boy slowly opened his eyes, groggily taking in his surroundings. He was met with a sea of unfamiliar faces - teenagers, all around his age, scattered across the endless dunes. The blistering sun beat down on them, relentless in its ferocity. As the boy struggled to sit up, he noticed the mix of fear, desperation, and determination etched on the faces around him. Some were huddled in small groups, whispering among themselves, while others wandered aimlessly, searching for something - anything - that could help them survive. The boy's memories were hazy, but one thing was certain: they were trapped. There was no sign of civilization in sight, just an endless expanse of sand and rock. No buildings, no roads, no rescue in sight. Panic began to set in as the boy scrambled to his feet, joining the throngs of teenagers searching for answers. How did they get here? Why were they trapped? And, most pressing of all, how would they survive in this desolate wasteland? As the boy joined the desperate search for survival, he realized that he was not alone in his quest for answers. Together, they would have to rely on each other, trust each other, and fight to stay alive in a harsh environment that seemed determined to kill them.
