How cruel could one's life be? we simply don't have the answer to that. Will the Gods of Celestia truly answer our prayers? we don't know. The wind is found to be rather knowing. As a bard once said, "You mustn't rely on the wind to tell you your story, rather let it be your trusted guide."

As the story unfolds, a bard discovers true happiness. A love so beautiful yet so unexpected. He, the anemo archon of mondstadt, will be guided to freedom by the wind. Along a lost soul yearning for justice...

In this fanfic, Venti (or Barbatos) was forced into Godhood. He lost his friend (the nameless bard) much earlier, and became cold. Although, he was still a rather cheerful person. He, Ei, Zhongli and the Tsaritsa are very close and rule their nations in harmony. Ei isn't cruel to her nation, but still hides her care behind a rather cold mask. (Aka, no vision hunt decree)

Xiao's backstory isn't the same, but he doesn't suffer from karma as must since he and Venti met way earlier. But no spoilers!

Also, i may or may not make a brief appearance into this, but i won't affect the story too much. All confusion about this AU will be cleared later on in the story, so stay tuned.
