He just moved to this small town in some place called Wyoming from the city on the east coast. When once he knew shopping malls and Walmart, there was now fields of livestock and small local shops. He had a friend that lived on the property next to his family's and he thought he was a cool dude. How's he gonna react when he finds out who she really is?
Everyone said that she wasn't ever a girl, and she usually didn't look the part either. But people in her little town still knew she was one. She kept her hair tucked into her hat usually, wore flannel shirts with rolled sleeves and could do all the work of her brother twice over. She was a classic old tomboy, so when the new city boy realized she wasn't a guy, she thought he could use a little country teaching

I look at California. She sits on my lap in the circle of us pot heads. She's not what I expected. She smokes she's the most sarcastic person I've ever met. She's smart but hates school. In the split second I see the skin I think I see a black crow with a green eye, but that's crazy. Only crow members can get crow tattoos and only descendants of the original crow can have the green eye. By tattoo that's on my lower back has a red eye. The red eye means non blood related member. But I have a smaller one with a blue eye beside it. The blue eye means leader. When California's biggest secret is discovered by her new boyfriend will she be able to keep her past and family secret the secret she wants it to be?
