Marinette has finally started her dream career in NYC, but she never thought she'd fall for billionaire playboy Adrien Agreste.
Full Description: Marinette has finally moved to NYC to start her dream career in fashion, but she never dreamed of having her heart broken by Adrien-- son of her fashion mogul Gabriel Agreste.
Adrien Agreste never could forget the woman he met at a restaurant on Chinese New Year 2020, but when she doesn't even give him a second glance, he finds himself facing rejection for the first time. Then, when she comes to interview for a job at his father's design firm Adrien can't help but make her life miserable.
But when things become complicated and feelings are caught, will Adrien realize that Marinette is the woman of his dreams before it is too late?
Set during the Pandemic where everyone wears a mask and the lockdown provides the need for escape even for the ultra-rich, there are comic misunderstandings of epic proportions as Marinette and Adrien interact together in two different worlds. Marinette must prove that she is more than just a girl with a dream, and playboy Adrien Agreste must earn more than just money, but also his father's love and respect.
This is an AU of ladybug by Thomas Astruc with no magic. Characters are 18 and older, and this is meant for older audiences but will be mostly fluff and cute stuff with only a bit of mature material.
There may be some spoilers/references to season four, such as names and characters.

Adrien had gotten into one of the biggest arguments he had ever had with his father, leading him to run from his home as his alter ego, Chat Noir. They had grown apart since his mother's disappearance. Adrien always tried to speak with his father and try but he was always busy or away. He finally snapped at his father. But where would he go for the night? He had to find someone he could trust. Marinette wasn't expecting Chat Noir to show up on her balcony with red eyes filled with tears. Her first thought after seeing him was the akumatized version of him, Chat Blanc. She immediately brings him inside, making it her job to help him. She was not going to let her partner become her worst nightmare. He needed some place to feel safe? She would become that. It became an everyday thing. Chat Noir would visit Marinette every day, they would talk about their days as Chat tried to keep his as dense as possible to not reveal his identity. They would play video games and eat food from the bakery. But what happens when something happens to Marinette that makes her break? Marinette has no where to go so Chat decides to be that place. She said, smiling up at him. "What brought you here anyway, kitty?" His smile wavered, "Can't I come to see my confidant?" She rolled her eyes. "Well, confidant... What brought you here?" He shrugged and sat on the floor near her, staying clear of the train on the dress. "I actually needed a girl's advice." She raised her brow quizzically. "Okay... what does the 'ladies man' need to know?" Referencing the most recent interview he did. "Oh, come on. I didn't expect them to keep that part in the interview." She giggled. "It was funny, I'm glad they kept it in." He flicked her exposed leg through the dress slit. "Okay, but I just had a question about Ladybug." Marinette swallowed hard at the mention of herself. She suddenly felt like she shouldn't be hearing this because she was Ladybug. "Okay, shoot it." He bit his lip, maybe unsure how to word it. "Well... I kinda tried to court her for at least the last 7 months. She didn't accept it, and I finally accepted that myself... but I guess my question is why she might not have wanted me. I'm sorry, I'm not even sure you could answer that... It just seems like Ladybug trusts you, so maybe she mentioned something to you?" -- Marinette Dupain-Cheng, a usually stubborn, headstrong girl, finally gives up on liking Adrien Agreste. He can't seem to take the hint, and she can't seem to conjure the confidence just to tell him. Chat Noir, a superhero who's able to charm any girl in his double life AND civilian form, can't seem to charm the one girl he wants: Ladybug. Tightening her arms around herself, she cried out. - He took a deep breath in, held it and then released it. He repeated it a second time. "I'm sorry, Ladybug. I can't just listen to you cry." He threw open the door, his eyes shut tightly. He lowered himself to the floor in front of her, settling down on his knees and extending his arms outwards. He kept his eyes shut and listened for any movement from her. - "You're not alone through this."
