Alastor Kingsleigh never wanted to be married, nor be surprised about a marriage. Alastor didn't like the idea of a prissy lady bearing his last name and given how odd he was, it just bettered his wish. After Charles Kingsleigh passed away, both surviving men in the family took care of the family in any way they could. Marcus and Alastor worried about their sister the most, even though Alastor had the same dream for as long as he could remember, his sister was always his first priority. Even if she was six years older than him. Andromeda Kingsleigh was the middle child. Growing up, she was taught that a lady should dress properly and behave properly to get a husband. She loved her mother and loved that her mother didn't want her to be alone, but she felt that her mother tried too hard. Many times Charles took Andromeda out of lessons and taught her life skills. The one most important: "Marry for love. Not for money or power or even just to not die alone. Chase your dreams and the one for you. I achieved it and as my daughter, I believe in you." So now, at age 25, Andromeda has turned away every man asking for her hand and turned to help her mother and her youngest brother. Hatter's Revenge (rewriting - read at own risk)
There are a few things you need to know about Wonderland. First off, completely misnamed. It should be Terrorland. People don't just accidentally tumble into Wonderland, it sucks them in. There is no following of cute white rabbits with pocket watches. Wonderland is dangerous and you can lose a lot more than your head if you're not careful. Second, the Hearts are in control, but they shouldn't be. The throne of Wonderland rightfully belongs to the Spade heir. But he's currently missing. Third, and probably most important, is that Madison Hatter is NOT a native of Wonderland. He was yanked through a mirror many years ago and has been trying to survive Wonderland ever since. Now he has an idealistic young Real-Worlder on his hands and a rebellion in his heart. Mad is going to remove that Heart Queen if it's the last thing he does. She's the one who stole him from his life all those years ago and he's been waiting for the moment when he can tear her life to shreds in repayment.
