Nevertheless

I look up at the dark sky from the balcony. The city lights are blinding the twinkling stars. So much that we think they are not there. So much that we forget they are there.

I am suddenly umbrellad by a towering figure. It doesn't startle me. My body is familiar with the scent. It can sense that comforting warmth. A smile starts to spread on my face and just then I get pulled closer into him. My heart beat fastens!

We are still not facing eachother.

"Miss me yet?", he whispers into my ear and nuzzles his chin in the crook of neck.

I gasp.

He swiftly turns me around. Now, we are gazing into each other's eyes. He brushes his thumb gently on my right cheek.

I keep opening and closing my mouth like a fish desperate to find oxygen. I must look ridiculous if someone saw me now.
