"That kid's gonna be the death of us."
"Maybe. But what would we do without him?"
...
"Wait, where's the kid?"
"Shi- we lost him again?! Fu-"

!!!WARNINGS: swearing, canon typical violence, blood, trauma, and a whole lot of other stuff (i'll put any specific warnings at the beginning of chapters) but that's the big main ones.!!! (not exactly sure if I'd rate this as MATURE mature, but it's close. It's PG-13/PG-16 I'd say.)

I DO NOT OWN STAR WARS OR ITS CHARACTERS. THE ONLY THING I OWN ARE MY OCS AND THEIR ARCS. THANK YOU AND ENJOY.

An AU where Darth Vader found out he had a son, intercepted Obi-Wan on his way to Tatooine, and took Luke. To keep him safe from the Emperor, he hid him away on Arvala-7, where years later Din Djarin would land to collect a bounty on a 50-year-old child. Having never seen the galaxy except for what was visible from his singular window, Luke decides to go with the Mandalorian when he leaves. Specific story warnings at the beginnings of each chapter, but the biggest one is an ongoing theme of overcoming child abuse (though it is not explicit and not talked about often past the first couple of chapters) so I would like to share some resources: Abuse of any kind is never okay. For help with child abuse, please contact your local CPS hotline, or speak out to mandated reporters like teachers and doctors. They can help you and will keep you safe. If you suspect a child you know is being abused, contact CPS and do not attempt to handle the situation yourself unless it is an immediate emergency, in which case call 911 or your local emergency line. For help with domestic abuse, contact the domestic violence hotline. In America, this number is 800-799-7233 and they are available through both call and text in English and Spanish and have interpreters for over 200 other languages. Never hesitate to ask for help and leave a situation that is unsafe for you and your family. If you suspect that someone is being abused, you can try to encourage them to seek help, but sometimes it is better to just call help for them. It is always better to be safe than sorry. Din Djarin must defend the child against dark Force wielders who would gladly take the little one off his hands. He will have to decide whether to trust some new allies, for the safety of the child. Note: This was written before season 2 of The Mandalorian came out. I wanted to throw together some characters from different Star Wars series and see how they'd interact. Turns out, a couple of them did end up meeting. In this story, they get to go on a whole adventure. They learn some things about each other and about themselves along the way, which is often painful, but could create bonds of trust if that's what they choose. Getting into these characters' heads and exploring the Force and the galaxy far far away have been an amazing ride. I finished this story on May the 4th, 2020. Then later, my friends urged me to polish it up and put it out there. So here it is for anyone who would enjoy it! It's not meant to replace anything that's going on in the show (which has been amazing so far, by the way). It's just an exploration and speculation on these characters and their universe. This is a fanfiction. The universe, most of the characters, and most of the locales belong to Star Wars. If you search a character or planet on Wookieepedia and it comes up with nothing, chances are I made them up (because I checked, too, before I gave them names). However, they were sometimes partly inspired by existing characters or planets in Star Wars. My use of the mando'a language was inspired by its use in Karen Traviss's Republic Commando novels (which I highly recommend if you want to learn some things about Mandalorian culture . . . And they're good stories.)

Vella Delaba had been raised as a peacekeeper, a knight. But by necessity, she'd become a warrior and had fought in many wars. She'd been a padawan in the Clone Wars and had joined in the battle against the tyrannical Empire. But no matter how many fights she came back from, she was never prepared for what she'd lose. The Jedi had been slandered, their once loved name became mud beneath a blurrgs feet. She had fought battles civilians couldn't and was now branded a traitor. Her past haunted her. The Jedi haunted her. The Force haunted her. But no matter how much she ran, it always caught up. The Galactic Republic was long gone, the Jedi were dead, even the Empire had been defeated. She'd lived through all of it, all because she'd ignored and hidden one of the most important things about her. The war was over, the Rebellion had won, the Empire was gone. So why was she still struggling to find where she fit in the mix of it? She was a Jedi. Where did a Jedi fit into a galaxy that hadn't seen one for nearly thirty years? Against the Odds, and quite surprisingly, she found she fit quite nicely with a Mandalorian and a small child. Even if the Baby is the only one to figure that out yet. --------- HI IM BREEZY!! I've written this. I did this. It took me three years but it's finally finished and I'm SO excited to finally share it with you!! Hope you love it as much as I do!!! What if, way before the Mandalorian ever got the bounty for a 50 year old child, he met someone that could turn his whole life around in just a few short days? And what if this person, whoever she is, can help him become the person he didn't even know he wanted to be? Din Djarin x Female!Reader Follows Season 1 of the Mandalorian, so... spoilers! Some more mature themes, especially in the second chapter, but other than that it's whatever happened on the show. I will write more specific warnings in each chapter. I own absolutely nothing except the reader's actions in the book, her backstory and all of the characters within her backstory. Total Word Count: 113k
