(This story is getting reworked because I am not good at making things THAT sad. Plus it feels too dark for a woman to have... certain thoughts, considering the fact that she's supposed to be the same as the 10 year old girl who plays Taiko with her neighbors and gets everyone yelling over a Donderful Megalovania. So, the entire story is getting a rework. No more child, no more spirits, just a normal, OTP (One True Pair) fanfiction about the two kids that play Taiko. Until then, this is the original version that went almost nowhere.)
23 years into the future, Don and Katsu were taken seven years ago by the Great Spirit as Taiko Guardians (Which honestly makes no sense, but it's Taiko No Tatsujin). Now married, Tetsuo and Hana had mourned the loss of them both, but it soon changed when little Doka entered the world. However, it seems like he has questions about his taiko uncles...
"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."
OR
Y/n wakes up in the deadly Squid Game, surrounded by strangers and fighting to survive. What she doesn't know is that the mysterious Frontman is watching her every move through the cameras- and she's caught his attention.
