Nora has been running for a long time. The infection gave her a reason to, that didn't feel like cowardice. When the news broke that the world was descending into a zombie apocalypse, Nora already had her life sorted; she had a home she knew every inch of, all the provisions she needed to keep her on track for a decent while, and someone to keep her company. She's survived like she always has, but she knows her luck will, one day, run out. Years after the initial news, she's still alive, surprisingly, but she doesn't always feel it. Stuck between perpetual fear, and lasting fight, she needs something to break the cycle. So when a small group of survivors catch her running across the grass at Juniper Green, Adult Village and Holiday Park, she sets her sights on making sure she saves them. What she didn't expect, was them saving her too. (Cover by .danedehaan on Quotev/.tomsturridge on Wattpad. Previously posted on another one of my accounts on Wattpad, and also on Quotev.)

When a government-funded project to create supersoldiers goes incredibly wrong, a zombie outbreak unlike any the world has ever seen in books and video games sweeps the United States. ••••• Daytona Pierce lost everything when the LycanZ pathogen spread to her hometown. Despite it being years since the first outbreak, she hasn't given up hope in a cure for humanity. On the contrary, she uses her position as sergeant in the Boston Quarantine Zone to keep up to date on the progress of an antidote. A mission gone horribly wrong sends Daytona on a trek cross-country in hopes of delivering the one person who could save the world: Soren Levisay. Only, more than just her life is on the line and despite her promise, she finds herself lost in the revenant's kiss and unwilling to let go. ••••• This will be written in first person point of view. Based off Prompt 33: And then I pressed my cheek against the asphalt and prayed the dead bodies would cover my scent. Additional, Prompt 5: A soldier always has two options when at a crossroads: to follow orders or to abort the mission.
