So forget everything you know about the over-complex story of the original Kingdom Hearts, if the lore of the games is what you loved then you won't find it written the same way here. This is the retold story of Sora and his quest to restore his home, find his friends, and stop the Keyblade Wielders of Darkness form destroying more of multi-verse as the last Keyblade Wielder of Light.
