It's been centuries since Iris last saw her family. Centuries since she felt the joy of being with the people she shared destiny with. Centuries since she last saw the man who could make her feel so frustrated and flustered all at once.

I can feel the slight tremble in his hand on my back. 

"Why'd you kiss me on the cliff?" He asks. 

I break my eyes away from his lips and into his craving eyes. "Because I wanted to," I whisper back. 

The hand on my back closes what gap was left between us, our bodies pressed together. I can feel his heart racing, and I'm sure he could feel mine as well. There were barely any layers between us... but there was just too much at the same time.
