Book One of the Across the Multiverse Series
A story following Captain Atlas Carter as he traverses through the 40s, falling in love with someone when he knows it's wrong. And when that man is gone and he still lives, he tries to find a way to live with it, hunting down the organization that took his love and his best friend.
Eventually this'll lead him to finding out his best friend is alive, and lo and behold, so is his love. However the man he once loved is different now, not quite the same as before. But to Atlas it doesn't matter.
After his love goes off grid again, he tries following him, to make amends. He finds him, but is pulled away for a separate mission. However this mission leads to them uncovering a plot to frame his love. This leads to an all out war between his friends, separating them beyond a doubt.
