I had a life I was enjoying - promotion at work, good friends I work with, fun times enjoying taco Tuesdays, a boyfriend who had a fabulous job, and I felt great living on my own, making my own way but still have friends and family nearby.
But a night at a company holiday party, I meet the person who first saved me from an unspeakable fate, then made me question everything I loved in my life.

My life has had ups and downs in my family, and I'm learning how to adapt this new status of mine. At a mandatory holiday party at work, one of my good friends introduced me to her best friend, but after I saw someone else make a play for her in the worst way possible.
Meeting her showed me what i was missing in my life. But she has interesting baggage she doesn't quite know how to remove from her life.
But with how crazy my life has been, I'm being cautious about the next step I take. And I want her. But I want her to want me, too. And now my plan to get her to fall in love with me, if we can keep her alive from her past coming back to torment her constantly.
