Alex thought Jack was fine. Because Jack had always been the one to comfort Alex. Through the Anxiety attacks, Tom passing away, the bullying at school, his parents not believing in him. Even when Alex simply couldn't sleep, he knew all he had to do was call, and Jack would be there, climbing the tree next to his room and entering through the window. Jack has always been Alex's savior, his superhero, his Peter Pan. Alex thought Jack was flawless, whereas Alex always saw himself as the Dude-in-Distress, the Lost Boy.
Two years ago, Jack was still climbing through his window, but now, Jack simply has to climb down from his bunk to Alex's to reassure the boy.
But when Alex see's something on Jack's phone, he starts wondering how tough his hero is, and if maybe, just maybe, his Peter Pan had to grow up too fast.
