"How can you defend him?" Taehyun's father spat, his face red with anger. "He's a criminal, Taehyun! He's going to bring you down!"
Taehyun's jaw clenched. "You don't understand," he growled. "Soobin and I... we love each other. And nothing you say or do can change that."
His father sneered. "Love? You call that love? That's just infatuation, Taehyun! You're blinded by your feelings!"
Taehyun took a step forward, his eyes flashing. "I'm not blinded," he said, his voice low and deadly. "I see Soobin for who he is. And I love him for it."
