This is a story based around the game Among Us, created by @Dan_Creates1 from Twitter (me) Check my Twitter out to see some future art of the characters in this story of mine. Hope you have fun reading this, if you haven't seen it yet, there will be gory elements in this story so watch out for those but I'll be warning the gory chapters at the start of each of them. Thank you for reading Overgrown Forest Against a Claw or O.F.A.C!

In a compact space, in the middle of nowhere of the milky way, a bunch of astronauts, unique in their way, fight against an unknown creature and its gruesome ways in this grassy plain. We follow a Bear and his friends to try and escape this nightmare, trying to uncover bits and pieces of the unknown and get out to safety while the bear pushes through to reach back to his little cub that's residing in a hospital paid by the space program. Tearful backgrounds, late confessions, suspicious characters, a sorrowful infection, and a ripping ending for all of them. Picking them one by one, can they survive with just their wits? Will they claw their way out and escape? Or will they get taken over...by this forest of terrifying creatures..? This is a tale of mystery and a battle for survival against an overgrown forest, a claw to tear through and conquer, or to survive.

An Imposter Among Us di NuggetTheFormidable

"Congratulations, Miss Duri. You're leading the fifty-fifth voyage to Polus." My initial giddiness wore away under a new and frankly uninvited sense of suspicion. Only an hour ago they were set on selecting anyone but me. What made them change their mind so quickly? "We were wrong about you, Genesis," the woman said. "We now believe you have the potential to do what your unlucky peers could not. However, you should know that there is no room for mistakes." Nareem leaned forward and picked up his chin. On a normal basis, he was about as intimidating as a rabbit. Now, though, he was pretty close to the office cat's level. "Don't mess this up for us, Miss Duri. Otherwise the consequences will be a lot worse than death." --- Genesis has always wanted to lead a mission to the Polus Space Station, orbiting a Jupiter moon millions of miles away. While each attempt to get there has been compromised by the scheming, violent Conclave, Genesis's hopes to become the next captain of the Skeld have not once faltered. When she finally gets the opportunity of a lifetime, Genesis quickly discovers that, despite her caution, all is not what it seems. Her superiors have maintained minimal contact, and she has reason to believe any one of her crewmates could be an imposter. Once the killings begin, she must act quickly to outwit the Conclave before she and all her crewmates are murdered in cold blood. --- **The characters are original, but this story is based off a game called Among Us. The concept of spaceship crewmates being killed by an imposter does not belong to me, but to the game developers (Innersloth). They also came up with the names "Polus" and "Skeld", as well as the layout of the space station most of the story is set in and the tasks crewmates are required to do. ***Content warnings: murder, peril, mentions of blood

"Just send a message back to HQ. See what their response is." "I can't." The entire room seemed to stand on end. "What the hell do you mean, 'I can't'?! You're the captain of this mission!" Lime exclaimed. "I can't. When Blue and Orange came in, Comms had suddenly shut down." The room burst into panic and chaos again, but all Vac'shar could do was smirk. Hunter and prey. And now when the time to strike appeared again, they would be ready. Everyone is the hero in their own story. With the world stacked against him, Vac'shar has still managed to raise his son and protect him from anyone else who might try and kill them both. But when Tenavik shows interest in the missions, what else could Vac'shar do other than let him come along with him and advocate for his dreams? Who's to blame when the blood flows? Amid the Embers di Lucid_Dreams29

Amid the Embers may look like your typical post-apocalyptic story. It's not. Yes, it starts with the Noxborne Virus. Yes, the world falls apart, fast. But this isn't about scavenging for canned beans or dodging zombies in alleyways. This is about what comes after, the slow, intimate rot of systems, memories, and mercy. It begins with Lily, a CNA in a Chicago hospital, witnessing the final moments of Patient Zero. From there, the story fractures into multiple points of view: survivors, manipulators, believers, and the broken children caught in between. A rising cult twists faith into control. Trauma rewrites love, loyalty, and identity. Each chapter ends with a bonus scene, hidden thoughts and memories, alternate angles, haunted echoes that refuse to stay buried. This trilogy blends psychological horror with emotional realism. Every laugh hides a wound. Every wound starts a story. Amid the Embers is not about saving the world. It's about surviving the memory of it and what it turns you into. ─────────────── **⚠️ Trigger Warning: ⚠️ ** This book contains graphic depictions of: -Child abuse (emotional, physical, and implied sexual exploitation) -Physical torture -Sexual assault -Mentions of child brides - Domestic violence and coercive control -Religious extremism and cult-like behavior -Graphic psychological horror -Substance abuse -Miscarriages -Homophobia and internalized shame -Death and grief -Mentions of suicidal ideation (non-graphic) -Gaslighting and manipulation Reader discretion is strongly advised. ─────────────────

This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? Is this fleeting shadow something that can help her or could this mysterious figure be even more dangerous than the zombies themselves? ---------------------- Ranked #1 Apr 10, 2018 (A huge thank you to all who read and voted!) This story is copyright and built from my own imagination. This book was a special request from someone who helped me a lot. This viewpoint has less action than the original. The cover was made by @All_AboutAssymetry. A huge thanks to her! Copyright September 2016. All Rights Reserved. Readers may not copy, alter, or steal this story. ❖ Interstellar pilot and ex-adventurer Alex Gallegos must keep their team safe on an icy moon as sentient storms threaten to repeat the tragedy that ended their last career. ❖ Everyone in the United Inhabited Solar Systems (for some reason, UIS for short) knows to stay away from Mahaha. The icy moon is notorious for failed probe landings and research missions that end in tragedy: the only people to ever venture to its surface needed rescuing after just two weeks. When a prestigious research group decides they want a turn, they ask Alex Gallegos to lead the team. Perfectly qualified and haunted by their past, Alex accepts, hoping to make up for old mistakes and get just a little further from the earth they've left behind. Two months into the seven-month mission, the team is struggling with discontent, damaged equipment, and blizzards acting less and less like normal weather. As Mahaha moves out of range of help and the storms take on a more malicious character, Alex must face the one foe they could never have prepared for. Mahaha may or may not be alive. ❖❖❖ Complete. Wattys 2021 Shortlister. Standalone sequel (Rocks Can Dance) coming in 2023. Comments and critiques are both welcome and appreciated. I write characters from many different backgrounds, with many different experiences. If you share those traits and find that I have misrepresented anything, please let me know! I am feedback-friendly and here to learn :)
