Maiston's secret tells about a teenage girl named Beatrix, who lives in a small town in Netherlands called Maiston. Beatrix is very interested in stars and the history of Maiston, especially since her grand-grand-grandfather was the hero of the story. She likes to go on adventures with her pet lizard called Morsy.
But one day, the invisible magic in the town, that no one but Beatrix and her grandmother seems to know about, starts to show. But not quite in a good way. The stars begin to fade, and Beatrix sees dark shadows everywhere. She tries to warn about them to the town, but no one believes her.
Will Beatrix save the town? Will she stay alive?
