Noah knew he was dreaming. Maybe it was the way the air surrounding him was tainted by a thin vapor of smoke, or maybe it was Tess standing steps away that gave everything away. The boy knew this wasn't Tess, not entirely. Her hair looked like it had been cut shorter with choppy strands falling just below her jawline in an uneven bob. It didn't look like she had used scissors; no it looked like something had ripped the pieces of her hair out. She wasn't wearing any makeup, but a thin layer of grime had begun to settle on her features. Her eyes had dimmed from a blazing gold to a dim auburn; the colour reminded Noah of a dying fire. When she spoke a shiver ran down his spine, "You're not him. You are not Noah."

Forgetting how to breathe
It's been about a year since the nogitsune and the death of Allison Argent. A year of pain and misery for everyone involved that dreadful night, but not a single soul in Beacon Hills could compare to Stiles Stilinski, the fragile and broken human who had to share his mind with the dark spirit. Now, a year later, the pack is still trying to help each other overcome the grief of the death of their friend, but for some it's much worse. ''What the hell happened, Stiles?!'' He hisses. Stiles tries not to flinch from his dad's tone, but he fails miserably. ''I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I - I woke up and everything in my room was in flames, even the bed, dad, I - I don't know what is happening.'' As soon as he said it, his dad's face closes off. ''You're telling me that you don't know? You didn't remember? Is it possible that you're - you're poss-'' ''NO! No, no! No! It can't be. It just can't.'' ''But you don't remember Stiles. You don't know what happened.'' His dad remembers him. His eyes are boring into Stiles's. ''Dad-'' before he can finish his sentence, his dad lets out a weary sigh. And a sob escapes his dad when he looks at the burning house. ''I - I don't know if I can deal with this son.''
