DISCLAIMER: The Heros of the old kingdom is a book I was motivated to write in my advanced art class Monday January 24th 2022. It is very heavily inspired by the Bethesda video game Skyrim. I say inspired but really it is my original character loosely following the main quest story line. So while I have similar characters and am writing a story with no rights to my own. Except for scenes outside the game line and my three personal characters. I hope you take a chance on this story and read the really cool description I'm about to give:

The world is under attack by an ancient dragon, the world eater, Alduin. According to the elder scrolls her is considered the "wellspring" of the Nordic pantheon, as well as the harbinger of the apocalypse. Big words. Scary words. Especially since no one can contain a dragons soul and therefore no one in our time can stop the end of the world. However I completely lied, there is one. Only one hero is fit to save all of Tamriel, one girl. The weight of the world on the shoulders of the last Dragonborn. The only person in hundreds of years who can completely kill a dragon. The question on everyoes mind is Can she, will she do it? I say no, well at least not alone. This Nord maiden will have to gain a few friends on her journey in order to power through. Maybe an old mist Elf, a skin changer who is all barns and no brain, and a Bee charmer who keeps flowers for luck.

Okay last thing even though I say it follows the story of skyrim, all those fellow nerds should be informed it also includes a love story between my OC and Farkas. As well as help from my other OC's. I put mature on the story but there won't be any bad stuff I just thought adventure, may be mature for some. Nothing gory as I hate gore but just in case it is a warning. I want you to fall in love with all of my characters, I would like for everyone to enjoy my book.

"I never feared death... until I saw you." ~•~•~ Samuel gazed up at her from beneath his dark brow. The many scars that littered his chest, made her heart ache for him. Had anyone cared for him when these wounds were fresh? "You are staring again." He commented, his voice neutral. Eden swallowed, biting her lip anxiously, "And you are shirtless." She replied, her voice equally as monotone. "Aye, I am." He nodded, "But that is not why you stare." "I do not stare with pity if that is what you are suggesting." She quipped, "I have seen enough pity in my life I would never put that upon anyone else." "Yet still you stare." His green eyes appeared to sparkle as his lips curled into a knowing smirk, "You may not know why little flower, but you are staring all the same." ~•~•~ Samuel Cairn was a formidable warrior, his hands stained with blood and his soul marked and scarred. Years ago he put down his sword and sought the peace of the church. Taking up a house on the lands of a nunnery, he utilized his skills to hunt and provide fresh food for the secluded nuns of the St. Maurice Abbey. But when livestock begins to go missing, and another male is found dead, more questions are raised. Who or what was attacking the small village of Tarafet? This is a fluffy romance about a monster hunter and a young woman searching for a place in this world. Expect slow burn romance and tension! Started: 1/7/25

So, if you look up Farkas's skill stats, they might surprise you... On one of my Skyrim play-throughs, I did the thing where you drop a piece of armor near Farkas and then tell him he can have it when he asks, and that makes him available as a follower... so I took Farkas with me all over Skyrim even though I'd only started the Companion's quest line. That prompted me to look some things up and come up with a few head-cannons... So here's the story that I tried to make tie everything in my head together... "Farkas is intrigued when he meets a small imperial archer and is unexpectedly caught up in her adventures. As he learns more about her he soon decides he'll do everything he can to protect her... and that promise takes him places he never imagined he'd go; brings discoveries no one thought possible; and changes the course of everything..." Marked "mature" just to be safe, there is occasional foul language and graphic descriptions of cannon-typical violence, implied sexual content, and character death and grieving. Also, obviously this is fanfiction, I do not own the setting or several of the characters. Cover art by Ignea_Hotbrew, @NHotbrew on Twitter.
