Madalyn Martin has never found that one thing she's good at...or at least been brave enough to share it with the world. She's always had a secret talent: music. Encouraged by her friends and family, she finally decides at the age of thirteen to chase after her dream and to give the music business a try. But soon after releasing her first song, Madalyn is diagnosed with an illness she is told she may never overcome.
Deciding to abandon all hopes of a career in music, Madalyn turns to a newfound talent of playing soccer. She quickly sparks an unlikely friendship with possibly the all-time greatest when it comes to soccer players: none other than the world-famous FC Barcelona and Argentina national team star forward himself, Lionel Messi. Despite the unlikely odds, they grow to become close at the onset of what could become either a once in a lifetime opportunity for Madalyn or a crushing disaster. Will she live out her dreams, or will persistent hardships and challenges hold her back?
