Fallon and Liam had just escaped HYDRA's facility, a lab that weaponizes humans tbrough experiments and infusion of technology. However, they still weren't free of the Dark Sorceress' Agatha's grasp who hunted them down to seek the power of the Phoenix Stone which is a part of Liam, the one thing that keeps him alive. Having come face to face with the witch, Liam is left with no choice but to sacrifice himself so Fallon would be strong enough to defeat the sorceress and survive. Fallon becomes the Scarlet Witch and "defeats" Agatha. Due to her new powers, it sent signals throughout the country. Carol Danvers approaches her first but she turns out to be a trap laid by HYDRA to retrieve Fallon. Thankfully, Natasha, her long lost sister and now director of SHIELD rescues her and takes her under her wing.

The story continues some months after Liam's death. Fallon encounters another powerful witch - the Town Witch of Mystic Falls - Bonnie Bennett. Bonnie has suffered great loss and had just lost the love of her life - Enzo St. John in the hands of the no humanity ripper Stefan Salvatore. After defeating Katherine Pierce and stopping hellfire without any casualties, everyone moved on happily while she was all alone. Determined to change that, she exhausts means to revive her lover.

Putting the pieces together, Fallon and Bonnie must make a decision whether to accept a tempting offer and find love, along with the risks that come with it; or to live a life of harrowing loneliness.
