Galacian's attack the town she is staying in and take her twin brother prisoner. To save the only family she has left, she has to travel into enemy territory and fight... even if it kills her. But her reputation makes her the most identifiable girl in the Empire, so she does what any sane person would do: she disguises herself as a boy. On her journey for revenge and redemption, she is forced into the life of a gladiator. If Candra is ever going to save her brother, she must distinguish her friends from her enemies before she dies in the red sands of the arena.
This is the first novel in a trilogy that outlines Candra's rise to power. The people need to know the truth behind this historical war that changed the face of their Empire.
