The demons overburdened Mother Earth. The people had no other shelter except for Lord Krishna....
    When His devotees call out to Him, He is forced to come, along with His eternal associates.
    
    Lord Krishna and Lord Balrama stepped on this Earth to kill the demons, save the devotees and re-establish Dharma.
    
    yadā yadā hi dharmasya
    glānir bhavati bhārata
    abhyutthānam adharmasya
    tadātmānaṁ sṛjāmy aham
    
    paritrāṇāya sādhūnāṁ
    vināśāya ca duṣkṛtām
    dharma-saṁsthāpanārthāya
    sambhavāmi yuge yuge
